My Story
I grew up in Egypt and spent years working as a historian and tour guide in Cairo's museums — the Egyptian Museum on Tahrir Square, the Coptic Museum, the Islamic Museum, the Karnak Temple in Luxor. That's where I first understood that cultural heritage has a reach problem. The stories are extraordinary. The access is not.
I moved to Germany in 2018 to study Heritage Conservation and Site Management at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, supported by the Gerda Henkel Scholarship. My master's thesis was the first in my program to focus on museum digitalization through augmented reality. I graduated with a 1.8.
After graduating, I taught myself to code, went through the Berlin Startup Stipendium, and eventually founded Museful — an AI-powered museum guide that lets visitors have real conversations with the objects in front of them. Since then, I've raised over €80,000 in funding, gone through five accelerator programs, won the 4x4 unter 40 Innovation Award from the Wirtschaftsjunioren Deutschland, took first place at Star Parade 2024 in the Digitalization category, and deployed Museful at the Grand Egyptian Museum during RiseUp Summit 2025.
Today, alongside building Museful, I run workshops on pitching, public speaking, and startup development. I've delivered sessions at universities and innovation programs across Germany, and I've coached founders through competitions where their startups went on to win.
I work in three languages — Arabic, English, and German — and I still photograph the places and cultures that shaped how I see the world.
